Responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining strong vendor relationships/negotiating with vendors concerning forecasting, availability, pricing, freight (including international), and terms /conditions of sale

• Audit the portfolio of items purchased and uphold item maintenance practices

• Become familiar with our analytics tools to get ahead of demand trends and maintain optimal inventory levels

• Coordinate with internal departments to provide optimum cross-functional planning and execution of purchasing functions

• Manage/resolve the setup and maintenance of vendor information in the company software system

• Input data and pricing into company software system, as well as keep all records up to date

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience purchasing (food and beverage industry preferred)

• Grocery, commodity, and broad diverse food buying experience preferred

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to develop and maintain records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation

• Must be able to build and maintain strong vendor relationships

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
