Position Summary:

We are currently recruiting a dynamic full-time Specialty Category Manager. This is a dynamic position for the right “foodie!” Candidates must have a true passion for Specialty Items including charcuterie, cheese and so much more! We are looking for the right candidate who has had 3-5 years of experience working as a category manager. The primary purpose of the Specialty Category Manager is to educate our chefs, customers, & sales team about the specialty items while driving excitement around our products.

This position will work closely with the Marketing Department to ensure the Specialty items are advertised and marketed correctly. A large part of this role will be conducting tastings, and educational presentations to our accounts and internal team!

Responsibilities:

• Create and drive excitement/engagement for our product lines by holding tastings for internal team and accounts
• Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and sourcing for new products
• Maintain the highest level of standards in product preparation
• Initiate suggestive selling and sampling of products
• Help to ensure superior product presentation within the warehouse
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
• Communicate any customer special requests to management
• Communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Food/Hospitality industry experience *required*
• Working knowledge of Specialty food and beverages
• Ability to communicate with customers, ownership, and employees
• Ability to incrementally impact sales in a positive manner
• Proficiency in Customer Service
• Ability to multi-task and perform within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
• Must have a reliable vehicle.
